Celebrating Creativity, Community
and a Year of Collaboration
Last week, we wrapped up the final session of our HAF (Holiday Activities and Food Programme), and what a moment. It’s a huge milestone for us: a full-circle feeling, and one we’re so proud of.
Becoming a HAF Enrichment Provider in partnership with Southwark Council’s Public Health programming department has been a huge step for us. It’s allowed us to deliver hands-on food education to young people across the community…something that sits right at the heart of what we believe in.
Over the summer holidays, organisations including Activities 4 U, Excel Beyond Barriers CIC at Charter House, and Cityhope brought their young people along to join us at Tower Bridge Collective. Together, we explored global flavours, cultures, stories, and dishes through sessions led by Lauren and Niki, with food from our amazing Food Partners: Mae Thai, House of Habesha, Fuego 1987, +84, Clapping Seoul, Jimmy’s, and Inamo Sukoshi.
The best part? Watching our young guests dive in:
Trying new cuisines.
Tasting dishes they’d never tried before.
Asking questions.
Building confidence.
Discovering that food can be a gateway to culture, creativity and connection.
It’s the kind of energy that reminds us why we do what we do.
We’re incredibly proud of the work we deliver every single day to support local communities, and grateful for the partnerships that make moments like this possible. Programmes like HAF are stepping stones. They open doors, spark curiosity, and create experiences that stay with people long after the session ends.
And we’re not stopping here.
We’ll continue to build programmes, partnerships and spaces that welcome people from all walks of life: educating, strengthening communities, supporting those facing food insecurity and celebrating culture through the power of food. This milestone is just one part of a much bigger journey we’re committed to.
